Monitor message metrics, connection charts, and quota usage
The Usage page provides real-time and historical analytics for your organization's MQTT usage.
Metric Cards
Four summary cards at the top of the page:
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Messages | Messages used vs. plan limit, with percentage progress bar |
| Online Now | Current count of connected clients |
| Data Volume | Total bytes transferred in the current period |
| Retained | Count of retained messages stored on the broker |
Time Period
Select a time period from the dropdown:
- Current Period - current billing cycle
- Last 7 Days
- Last 30 Days
Charts
Messages Over Time
Line chart showing message volume per day over the selected period.
Data Throughput
Two-column chart showing published and delivered data volume.
Connections
Two-column chart showing connection counts over time.
Analytics Tables
Top Clients
Table of the most active MQTT clients by message count and data volume.
Top Topics
Table of the most active topics by message count and data volume.
Health Cards
Three cards providing operational health metrics:
- Traffic Breakdown - published vs. delivered bytes
- QoS Distribution - percentage breakdown of QoS 0, 1, and 2 messages with progress bars
- Errors - publish errors, subscribe errors, and auth failure counts
Usage metrics are updated in near real-time. The progress bar on the Messages card shows how close you are to your plan's message limit.
